How it works and how fresh it is
We compare the postcode centroid with Environment Agency screening layers. Address Lens may reuse a screening result for up to 30 days and live-alert data for up to 15 minutes. Those periods are a check cadence, not an Environment Agency publication date, and the result shows the checked time for each source.
Coverage and limitations
This free checker is England only. It is postcode-centroid screening, not a property-level finding: a postcode can include several buildings, different levels, defences and drainage conditions. Missing, partial, stale or unavailable data is not evidence that an indicator is absent.
